Can You Smell What Barack Is Cooking?

The race for the Democratic nomination, is getting dirty. The race is still too close to call! Hilary took home a win in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. In honor of the race I have posted a video. The WWE, had a skit, in which Clinton and Obama fought one another in the ring! I think that the video sums up the race for the White House! I also love when Obama states can you smell what Barack is cooking! Brilliance!

What a Jerk !

Presidential hopeful John McCain visited a high school while campaigning. During the question and answer session, a student asked if he thought that he was too old for the job ? He also asked if he thought that he might die during his presidency. McCain gave a funny and intelligent response! The greatest part occurred at the end when McCain answered thanks for the question you little jerk! I loved this video! I hope you enjoy!

Dance Obama Dance !

Presidential hopeful Barack Obama appeared on the Ellen show, after he was introduced he came onto the stage dancing to Crazy In Love! Not only did he dance, but he attempted to box as well. In the process he lost his watch. I thought the clip is funny and lighthearted. He even makes a joke about former Republican candidate Rudy Giuliani. So take a look at the video on the side bar! McCain On MySpace!!!!!!

The other day, I was researching Republican John McCain. During my research I came upon a funny discovery! John McCain has a MySpace account! Yes, that is correct, his page is dedicated to his campaign and what he hopes to accomplish. Personally, I think of MySpace as a site known only to those of my generation. However, generation y are apparently not the only subscribers. While I think the idea of McCain on MySpace is funny, I cannot help but respect him for reaching out to my generation!

When Does Primary/Caucus Season End ?

The other night, at dinner, my brother asked me if the primary season was over. I thought that for my next post, I would address this question! The primary season is not over yet. The last primary will occur on June 3. Montana and South Dakota will decide who will win available points. On the same day, New Mexico will hold Republican primaries. Democratic voters have already decided their candidate. On April 22, Pennsylvania will hold elections. Primaries will occur every Tuesday in May. So it is not over yet! The democratic nomination is far from secured. The Democratic National Convention in August will be exciting!

Why Huckabee Why ?

Okay, I have found a fantastic way to remember Mike Huckabee's bid for the White House. I found a video in which I have posted. In the video Mike claims to have eaten squirrel that was fried in a popcorn popper. HOW GROSS IS THAT! I gagged when I watched the video. I guess Mike is trying to reach Southern voters. I was born and raised in the South, and have never eaten squirrel. Every time I watch the video I feel sick!

Farewell Huchabee

As Clinton regained lost ground last Tuesday, Republican candidate Mike Huckabee dropped out. Huckabee formally resigned after it became clear that he was going to loose Texas. The Presidential hopeful was hopping to win in the state. Texas, of course went to John McCain. I guess John just cannot be stopped!

It Is Not Over Yet People !

Well Tuesday March 4, was what many call Super Tuesday 2. For Hillary Clinton, the election would decide if she was still in the race. Well Guess What ! She won three out of four states. Senator Clinton won Rhode Island, Texas and Ohio. For all of you who have been closely watching the race it is not over! The Democratic National Convention in August will be very interesting. I know I will be glued to results as they come in!

Could This Be Farewell

Next Teuesday on March 4, voters in Ohio will vote in the presidetial primary. As of today, Hillary Clinton's bid for the White House could soon be over. If she looses the primary to Obama, she is pretty much done. There is no stopping the momentum that Obama has behind him. Hey maybe if she bows out with grace she could be Obama's running mate. I think that the best way to remember Senator Clinton's try for the presidency is through humor. A few weeks ago I posted a paid for by Clinton ad. It is too funny. In fact I have not been able to find anything that can even come close.

Oh Huckabee

Lately, I have been focused on the Democratic side of the Presidential race. I thought that for this post, I would give a nod to Republican Mike Huckabee. Even though he is far behind in delegates, Mike still is in the race. I have found an ad which features Chuck Norris. The ad is not meant to be funny. However it is! While McCain has both former President Bush's, Huckabee has Norris. Hey, maybe Mike would not make such a bad President after all.

How Creative Is This

I have found another great presidential advertisement! This ad was made by a supporter for Barack Obama. The ad is based on a famous Super Bowl commercial. The original ad aired in 1984, to promote Apple Computers. The Obama ad is entitled Vote Different. I think that it is very cool. I thought that I would share it with you!

Virginia Primary

Well the sun has set on the Virginia Primary. John McCain took Virginia, Maryland and D.C. but by a margin. Mike Huckabee put in a great fight. Obama continued his sweep. Like McCain he took all three primaries. Hillary Clinton seems to be slowing down. Tonight gives Obama eight straight wins over Clinton. I know that I made fun of Clinton's campaign ad in the previous entry, but it has really grown on me. I think that all democratic voters should see the video! She has a sense of humor and seems to be fun. I guess we will just have to see what happens. This has proven to be an interesting race.

Hillary For President !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I have found what has to be the best political advertisement ever! The video is an actual campaign ad. My first reaction was this has to be a joke. I thought that it was a spoof. I guess not. This is an actual paid by Hillary Clinton ad. Now I can see why she fired her campaign manager. The video is clearly attempting to reach our generation. I think that there may have been a better way. All that I can do is laugh and say why Hillary why?Hey, if America decides that it is not ready for President Hillary Clinton, she will at least have a job. I still have a hard time believing that this was on her actual website. However, for me it will never compare to Rudy Giuliani in drag!

Super Tuesday WOW!!!!

Okay, alot has happened since my last post. Tuesday, February 5, was Super Tuesday. Or as the politically involved say Super Duper Tuesday. Once again the Democratic side proved to be neck-in-neck. The Republicans also provided suprises. Mitt Romney droped out of the race. This development pretty much gave the nomination to John McCain. Romney was really the only threat to the non-stop McCain machine. Romney, at least gave the Republicans some hope. McCain's unofficial GOP nomination comes with advantages. The GOP can basically begin the Presidential campaign. Like with Giuliani, I feel that the best way to remember Romney's bid for the White House is with humor. I have included a youtube clip. The Florida primary was this week. Sadly, Giuliani withdrew from the presidential election. Rudy was banking on a victory in Florida. In fact, Florida was pretty much the only state in which he campaigned. I guess he should "not have put all of his eggs in one basket". I am so suprised that he has backed out. Voters must have forgotten about the whole "America's mayor". It looks like McCain and Romney will have to duke it out. After all the Republican nomination is on the line.
On the Democratic side, John Edwards has backed out as well. An interesting fact is that the Florida primary does not count for the Democratic candidates. The DNC is upset that the primary could not be held either on or after Feb 5. That Florida does not count is a little difficult to understand. I will be sure to ask professor Bragaw to clarify.
Since the point of this blog is to see politicians in a funny and interesting light, I have decided to add a great link. This link shows Rudy Giuliani in drag. Yes, he is dressed as a woman. Donald Trump is also in the clip. What better way to remember Rudy's run for the White House.

I am Angelica. I have created this blog as part of a requirement for a Journalism class. I am a huge political fan. Growing up I loved to watch the British House of Commons on C-Span. I know that is a little nerdy but we all have our interest. I am a senior majoring in business with a minor in government.
